Patronato played host to River Plate in an Argentinian league clash back on 9th October. 

After a goalless first half at the Estadio Presbítero Bartolome Grella, the visitors took the lead in the 54th minute through Miguel Borja. Patronato went in search of an equaliser, but were unable to get it and ended the contest with 10 men after Nicolas Castro saw a stoppage time red card.
