Palmeiras took on Independiente Petrolero in a Copa Libertadores group stage game on Tuesday.
Jose Erick Correa gave the Bolivians the lead in the sixth minute, but Palmeiras came fighting back. Ze Rafael levelled for the Brazilian in the 41st minute and, after the break, the floodgates opened. Rafael Navarro scored four goals between the 47th and 78th minutes. Palmeiras are top of group A with six points while Independiente Petrolero are third on one point. Emelec are second with one point while Deportivo Tachira are bottom with none.
