PSV hosted Monaco in a Champions League third qualifying round second leg tie on Tuesday. 

After a 1-1 draw in the first leg, Joey Veerman gave PSV the lead after 21 minutes, but Guillermo Maripan levelled for Monaco just before the hour mark. Wissam Ben Yedder looked to be sending Monaco through when he scored after 70 minutes, but Erick Gutierrez made it 2-2 in the 89th minute. Monaco were furious as they felt the free-kick had been taken from the wrong place, but the goal stood. Then, in extra-time, Luuk de Jong's 109th minute goal sent PSV through. PSV will now face Rangers in a two legged tie for a place in the group stage. The first leg is in Glasgow on 16th August while the return is on 24th August.
