Journalist threatened in Guayaquil prior to Copa Libertadores final!

Ahead of the Copa Libertadores fina, a journalist from an Ecuadorian television channel was close to being robbed near the Monumental stadium stadium, located in the city of Guayaquil. One of them even had a gun.

The Copa Libertadores final is drawing closer. On 29th October, Flamengo and Athletico Paranaense face off in Guayaquil, Ecuador. 

However, in the hours prior to the final, one journalist was involved in a scary moment. 

'Teleamazonas' showed how journalist Vanessa Robles was targeted by two men on a bike while she was reporting ahead of the final. 

Robles showed immense bravery by confronting the men and telling them that she was live. That saw the men cover their faces and flee. 

It is not the first time a journalist has been targeted in the city as, last year, a journalist was threatened by a gun wielding man while reporting. He was wearing a mask and even tried to grab the reporter's microphone before fleeing.
