Alemany confirmed Griezmann's transfer to Atletico for 20 million

Mateu Alemany, at Barcelona's shareholders' meeting, confirmed that the Catalan club have reached an agreement with Atletico Madrid for Griezmann's transfer.

Antoine Griezmann will be an Atletico Madrid player from now on. The French player, who is currently on loan at the 'Colchonero' club, will return to the Madrid club.

The Frenchman, in order not to reach the minimum amount of minutes, was playing this season from the 60th minute onwards in most of the matches. Now, Simeone will be able to field him whenever he wants.

After Xavi's press conference, it was Mateu Alemany, Barcelona's sporting director, who confirmed the agreement between the two clubs.

"We have renegotiated the conditions with Atletico Madrid this week and we will receive between 20 and 30 million euros, depending on the bonuses," Alemany told the assembly on Saturday.

Therefore, and in the absence of an official statement from both clubs, Antoine Griezmann can now be considered an Atletico Madrid player, and not on loan from Barcelona.
